PG&E is taking initiative by installing charging stations in areas that expect lots of vehicle traffic, such as residential areas of condominiums and apartment buildings. In addition, nearly 15% of the chargers will be designated to disadvantaged communities to improve the quality of the area.

As California experiences numerous natural disasters on a yearly basis, they are pushing toward promoting a Green environment. The installation of the EV chargers will not only benefit current EV drivers, but also encourage more EV drivers on the road, leading to cleaner air quality and transportation. This is a step in the right direction, and will result in more commercial joining this trend.
