An important element of the American Energy Services success has been the honing of our management and field staff which is fostered by an open-book approach to business. Through careful training, sharing of financial and project information, promotion and hire, we’ve established a team of specialists with intimate knowledge of their craft as well as what it takes to be a customer-oriented, profitable business. American Energy Services currently has sixty employees serving the Mid-Atlantic and continues to grow at a steady pace.

Kevin Robertshaw

Business Development

Kevin is utilizing his 25 years of construction field and management experience to install field, administrative and financial systems and procedures, strengthening the American Energy Services structure. His focus is on customer service, as well as defining and instilling the company culture and work ethic that sets American Energy Services apart in the industry. Kevin holds a degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Frostburg State University.

Mike Lubitz


Mike’s primary focus is to make sure that the company’s visions and values are integrated into its daily operation. He does this by working closely with the management team on its planning, personnel development and systems control processes. Additionally, Mike oversees the accounting department and is responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company.  Mike has been with American Energy Services for 5 years, and has over 14 years of finance, accounting and treasury experience. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Maryland College Park.

Business Development

Derek comes to American Energy Services with nearly 30 years’ experience serving the commercial real estate market and is responsible for development and generation of new business opportunities and expanding growth in existing market segments. Derek works directly with organizational leaders and serves as a single point of contact, marshalling the resources necessary to deliver service excellence consistently, from site to site or across the region. Derek earned his Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.

Weldon “Richie” Richmond

Project Manager

Richie has been with American Energy Services since its inception. Richie has been in the electrical field for the entirety of his career. With us, he plans and manages workflow of projects from the time of audit, determining required miscellaneous materials, managing costs to budget, overseeing the crew on projects assigned and reporting activity and hours worked, troubleshoot any problems if necessary and reporting any extra work and time required to the office and customer, coordinate inspections and close out processes.

Joe Idoni

Project Manager, Safety Director

Joe has been with American Energy Services since its inception. Joe’s primary focus is to plan the construction processes and workflow on our projects, determine critical path and completion deadlines, provide site and audit verification, coordinate inspections and close out processes, ensure all safety requirements and practices are being strictly followed.

Tony Lamas

Lighting Auditor

Tony has been with American Energy Services since its inception. With a background in quality control, Tony joined our field crew and rapidly rose through the ranks to become our full time auditor. Tony spends most of his working hours in the field performing professional lighting audits.

JerryJerry Bayliss

Purchasing Manager

Jerry comes to American Energy Services with over 6 years’ experience in purchasing management. Jerry joined the team in November of 2016 and is responsible for overseeing and managing material purchases for all of our lighting projects. He ensures that all of these purchases are executed to our highest level of standards by providing the necessary information and appropriate materials needed for every aspect of each job.

Lindsey Johnson

Office Manager

Lindsey joined the team in December 2016 and comes to American Energy Services with over 15 years’ experience in Administrative Management. Lindsey is responsible for overseeing the entire functionality of the office. Including, but not limited to, payroll, accounting, healthcare and employment. Lindsey has a background in Law and IT.


billyWilliam Whitehead, Jr.


William “Billy” comes to American Energy Services with over 5 years experience in estimating and project management. Billy joined the team in March of 2017 and is responsible for identifying labor/material requirements, forecasting other miscellaneous project costs, resolving design discrepancies and ultimately preparing estimates and proposals for customers. Billy also has majestic, flowing hair.
